Can we have our own documents in a Legaldocshop?
Yes, we offer this as a bespoke option. Many legal practices and accountants want to sell their own content and we have bespoke options for this.
We want to sell services too, can we do this in our Legaldocshop?
Yes, its an upgrade option. If you are a solicitors firm then we will discuss the options open to you in line with the regulations. These include Money Laundering information, risk analysis, Rule 2 letter content, conflict of interest provisions and regulation.
How does payment work in the standard Legaldocshops?
Our standard shops are built with all payments being taken for you and we BACS the revenue to you less our processing and admin charges each month. The VAT invoices are down-loadable by the purchaser immediately with information on how to access support from your business. With the bespoke options all payments are taken using your own merchant account. The client obtains their document and invoice at the same time they pay so they do not have to wait for the delivery of the document they have chosen.
How do purchasers get support?
Our standard shops are fully supported as part of your monthly fee, the bespoke versions can also be supported providing we have full access to the site at all times. This is something we discuss with you at the start of the build of your bespoke shop.
Support on purchasing the document, downloading it or queries regarding the process of sale are all dealt with by us within our service agreements with you. The idea is you use e commerce sales of law to generate income and we get on with the day to day operation for you.
Queries which enable up selling or cross selling your services are referred back to you and we have points of contact and process all contained in our agreement with you for this to run smoothly.
The main function of a Legaldocshop, is to provide more opportunities to interact with new and existing clients. We spend a lot of time on researching this aspect so you benefit from an enhanced client service process.
Will having a Legaldocshop affect my own site?
No, its designed to link to your own site with the minimum of disruption for you.
How long will it take to have my own Legaldocshop?
It depends on the option you choose, but with all categories installed in a standard option it can be up and running with your logo in just 14-21 days, often sooner.
How many documents are there to choose from?
At launch which was the 20th November 2011 there were 200 titles across the 5 libraries. April 2012 and we now have 350 titles to choose from. Additional titles are being added at a rate of approximately 35 per month, these include documents, agreements, letters, policies, and risk assessment forms. New libraries and titles are planned and on target to extend the document title list further. We will also be introducing EU, International and USA documents in Autumn 2012 also.
Do the documents get updated and how often?
We update the documents whenever there is a legal change affecting that document and upload the new version to your shop. We also mark it as updated during the term of your contract.
We have a solicitors’ practice, we are worried about competing with ourselves.
The documents in the standard shops are set to attract new visitors so each category is quite wide, if you want some of the documents ‘switched off’ this can be arranged. Our research shows that new clients wanting to buy on line are not the same clients who would normally phone to book an appointment ie clients buying remotely from your new shop are a different client group. If someone has a requirement for a legal letter and wants to pay under £10 for it then it makes sense, rather than them turning down a quote for personalised work at a higher rate, to channel them to an instantly down-loadable item.
I don’t want to pay loads of commission on sales via the shop.
In all of our standard shop platforms we do not take a commission. We charge administration costs and all merchant costs are passed onto you and deducted from your payment each month. All our admin charges relate to maintenance and volume of support traffic and are set up using streamlined IT systems to keep time spent to a minimum.
